A local's guide to cannabis flower
Flower is the classic: the dried, cured bud of the cannabis plant. It's the most traditional way to enjoy cannabis and the category with the most variety on the menu.
What you're looking at
Flower is sold by weight in sealed, labeled packaging. Every licensed product in New York is lab-tested, and the label lists what's inside, the cultivator and the test results.
You'll hear words like indica, sativa and hybrid. They're useful starting points, but how a product feels can vary from person to person. Aroma and the info on the label tell you more than the name does.
How to choose
Start by telling us how you like to spend your evening — or your afternoon — and how experienced you are. We'll point you to a few options and explain the differences.
If you're new or coming back after a long break, choose something on the gentler side, use a small amount and wait to see how you feel before having more.
Storing it right
Keep flower in its original container or an airtight jar, somewhere cool, dark and dry. Heat, light and air dry it out fast.
Store it locked up and out of reach of children and pets.
